Sited adjacent to Shawnee Mission North High School, the Shawnee Mission North District Stadium is a replacement of an existing facility.  Serving area high school student-athletes, the stadium is designed  to accommodates football, track and field and soccer.  Special district event such as commencement will be held at the stadium as well.

Seating  5500, the new facility focuses on maintaining the park-like setting the previous stadium was renown for.   Circulation routes are reinforced by landscaping and  earth berms are utilized to create a heightened sense of nature and the outdoors.  Elements such as locker rooms and ticketing are pulled away from the main stadium to increase the sense of exterior enclosure.

The seating sections, although based on standard components, have been customized to respond to general admission seating practices.  In addition, the ends of the seating sections have been radiused  to create a stronger sense of identity for the facility and compliment  the organic nature of the site.
