KINGSTON,

The University had reached a density on the main campus that required athletic and recreation fields and other field sports facilities to be relocated to the underdeveloped West Campus. The objective of the planning process was to identify the campus’s needs and provide a comprehensive plan for the development of West campus including the replacement of Richardson Stadium.
The plan calls for significant improvements to the existing roads and parking areas; pedestrian walks and paths; athletic fields and courts; and other infrastructure.. The plan allows for the replacement stadium; the relocation and replacement of tennis courts; new competition and practice fields for Gael football, soccer and rugby; and modern team facilities, academic study facilities and program offices to serve the field sports programs and a fan friendly site plan for both the ritual pedestrian traffic from the main campus and on-site parking.
